Apothecary must have addon
July 14th, 2009
Today I want to share with you a very nice addon which I just found some days ago. It is called Motion, basically it helps you to craft all your portions. It can save recipes and it can create multiple potions without having to click for each. Which comes really handy when you start crafting healing potions etc on mass for special proccs.
Motion
Motion
Motion is a streamline user interface for the apothecary and talisman professions offering the following features:
- One click making of multiple items
- Right click menu listing the items available for that crafting slot
- Save and load recipes with a few mouse clicks.
You can show and hide the Motion window using "/motion" if you have LibSlash installed, or you can use "/script Motion.Toggle()" if you would like to create a macro to open/close the Motion window.
Using Motion
Once Motion is installed, you will find the Motion window in the center of the screen. You can move the Motion window using the Layout Editor built into the Warhammer client. After you have the proper home for the Motion window, its time to have fun! Head to the upper left hand corner of Motion and right click the empty box. This is the container box and will display a list of all available containers within your regular and crafting inventory, though they are limited to those that you can use for your crafting level. Once you have selected a container its time to select a determinant, which is also performed by right clicking the determinant button. Upon selecting a determinant one to three resource windows will appear to the right. The number of these is based upon the determinant and what it requires for resources. You can select resources just like you selected the container and determinant. If you happen to select the wrong item, you can select a new item to replace the current, or you can left click the button to clear it completely.
As you add resources, you will notice the status orb in the upper right corner change color. This color is similar to the default crafting windows and lets you know the "chance of success" with the current ingredients. The goal is to achieve a green status. Once you are happy with the status, head to the lower left hand corner and enter in the number of items you wish to make. Want to make 1? 20? 40? 500? Put in the desired outcome and click the green Plus button. Motion will then perform a few checks to make sure everything checks out and if all goes well, you will see the item creation process starting and the Plus button will turn red. This is now the "stop" button, should you wish to stop crafting before the entered number of makes.
Once you have finished making that item, you can use the Minus button to clear the currently slotted ingredients. Or perhaps you like the item you made so much you want to save the recipe? Head to the Recipe button, it looks like a sheet of paper, and left click. You will be prompted to give the recipe a name and it is then saved in your list of recipes. When you come back to crafting and want to make that same item, you can right click the Recipe button and see a list of saved recipes.
As any addon user knows there are always some configuration options and Motion is not without a few. In the lower right hand corner is the Configuration button, which you can use to bring up the configuration dialog. There are few options here that are enabled by default. You can mouse over the option text to get a better description of what each one does to decide if you wish to disable them, however, most of them are safety related. Its pretty embarrassing when you get rolled while making an intelligence potion rather than that damage ability you just smashed into the keyboard.
Need a picture to help put this all together?
There is 1 major nuance of Motion, due to side effects of the default UI:
- When you open the default apothecary or talisman making windows, they like to clear the current crafting ingredients out from under Motions feet. To help alleviate any issues caused by this, Motion will stop crafting if you in the middle of a make, just to make sure you do not waste ingredients.
A word of thanks goes out to Irinia of Miracle Grow Remix. The context menu layout used in MGR is a superstar and to help keep a similar look and feel a slightly modified version is used in Motion.
Big addon week here at my blog
, so today I want to share with you another addon. This time not for a specific class but for all, it is one of the addons which SHOULD BE implemented as core one because it is so important and helpful.
But enough introduction, here it is:
Auto Dismount
What it does?
Well like name would suggest it automatically dismounts you when you perform an action which requires you to be not on your mount. Like every type of attack or cast, so it basically makes every shortcut on your bar also a unmount button. No more searching for the dismount button nor having it somewhere special so you can use it easily
.

State of Realm
What is State of Realm?
State of Realm is basically a addon which keeps track of various events which happens on the open Realm vs Realm areas. It keeps tracks for example of domination timers, shows you the Victory Points a contested zone has. It shows you also the battle marks like the ingame campaign tracker. It will also show you timers for objectives so you can see how long until a specific object gets taken over from enemy or how long it takes before it gets locked from your side.
So, basically it shows you all the needed information’s there are for the open PvP stuff in warhammer online. Which will really make it easy for you to choose where to go to get some action. You will also never again miss a zone lock or domination lock!
Realm Tracker: Keeps track of
-

-
The swing in control Tier 4 for the 4 realms
-
Informs you if fortress is under attack
Objective Tracker: Takes a note when an objective is taken in your zone and gives you the following information
- Name of objective
- Tier of objective
- Type of objective
- Side taking the objective
- Time left to lockdown
- Time left before it becomes open
- Has a tooltip for the hard of sight
- Can broadcast the time left on an objective to Region, Warband or Party
Pager: Keeps you up to date on the state of the BOs in your area
- Tooltip gives more in depth information
- Informs you if you don’t know the status of a BO
- Allows you to broadcast status and the time left if you know the details of a BOs.
- You can broadcast that you are heading for a BO
- Will now give a timer for how long the current state will last when you hover over the pager item

Option Menu: allows you to
- Hide and Show the Realm Tracker
- Allows you to only show Tier 4
- Set the time for the % swing to any time between 10 secs to 1 hour
- Set the Objectives to be docked to Realms, floated (you can resize and move it separately) or Hidden
- If the Objectives are floated you can choose whether they grow up or down.
- Set the Pager to be docked to Realms, floated (you can resize and move it separately) or Hidden
- You can set the tooltips to appear to the left or right of the module.
- Attach the button to the minimap or separate it and move and resize it normally
- Choose between Classic look or Realm colours.
- Set the text colours for the mod
- Change the Alpha of the background to the Realm Tracker

Miracle Grow Remix
Miracle Grow Remix @ war.curse.com
What is Miracle Grow Remix?
well it is a addon for Warhammer Online of cause, which enables you to grow your plants more easily. It will give you a new box like this:
What it basically shows are the 4 plots you have to plant your seeds. On the very left side you can see the seed or spore you are planting and after that the soil, water, nutrient. With a click on each you can select from a drop down menu what you want to add to the growing. Which overall makes it more easy to plant your seeds while in combat or RvR stuff or dungeons or whatever. Since you do not have to open those big cultivating window all the time and search through your bags for the right items.
But that is obviously not all, you can also repeat your last grow with a single click. When you look at the last line (4) you see at the very right end 2 symbols. The right one is for harvest + repeat the last growing, so when you click on it it will automatically harvest the plant and also plant a new seed and add the same type of soil/water/nutrient. If you do not have that kind of plant or any kind of helpers (soil / water / nutrient). The icon will turn red, indicates that you are missing something to grow the exact same thing again.
So basically that says you can with 1 click re do your cultivating stuff over and over again. Which makes it finally possible to do it all the time whatever you are currently doing.
The button to the left is when you only want to harvest your plant and not wanting to re do the planting.
From the help file:
Here are the elements of each plot area:
The seed slot shows the growth progress as its icon. When the plot is empty and you click here, a context menu will pop up showing you all the different seeds you can plant here. Once you’ve planted a seed in the plot, clicking will open a context menu allowing you to auto fill additives: either the best vendor stuff you can use that’s in your bag, or the best including Rhya’s soils. Hovering on the icon will show what seed is in the plot
The soil slot shows whether you’ve added soil. If the plot is growing and you haven’t added soil (and still can), clicking here will open a context menu showing you all the types of soil you can use. Hovering on the icon will show what soil is in the plot
The watering can slot shows whether you’ve added water. If the plot is growing and you haven’t added water (and still can), clicking here will open a context menu showing you all the types of water you can use. Hovering on the icon will show what water is in the plot
The nutrient slot shows whether you’ve added a nutrient. If the plot is growing and you haven’t added a nutrient, clicking here will open a context menu showing you all the types of nutrients you can use. Hovering on the icon will show what nutrient is in the plot
The stage time shows how much time is remaining for the current stage of growth.
The plot time shows how much time is remaining for the entire cultivation.
The repeat button will start a new cultivation using the same seed and additives that you used for the last cultivation on this plot. This button appears when the plot is waiting for a seed. If you do not have the materials in your bag to repeat the seed and additives used on the plot last time, this button will be red and disabled. Hovering will show the ingredients used for the last cultivation of this plot and how much of each you have remaining.
The harvest button will harvest the plot
The harvest & repeat button will harvest the plot then repeat the last grow just like the normal repeat button. Hovering will show the ingredients used for the last cultivation of this plot and how much of each you have remaining.
The progress bar lets you see at a glance how much time is remaining for the entire cultivation of this plot.
The plot number indicates which plot is which. You might think this information trivial, but if you setup MGRemix to show fewer than 4 plots you’ll want to know which ones are currently showing.

1.3 Talisman making

3 |
|
75 |
4 |

7 |
|
175 |
8 |
|
200 |
9 |
Power:
Fragment:
Power = 2x tier.
Others:
Power = tier
To create a Talisman all that matters it the combined power of all ingredients (Fragment, Curio, Containers, Gold Essences).
*Note: skill 200 containers have +1 power on them but none of the other containers do.
Stat Talisman:
|
Tier |
Power | Level | Prefix | White | Green | Blue | Purple |
| 1 | 2-6 | 1 | Feeble | 3 | 7 | 11 | 15 |
| 2 | 9 | 6 | Weak | 4 | 8 | 12 | 16 |
| 3 | 14-19 | 6 | Inferior | 5 | 9 | 13 | 17 |
| 4 | 20-24 | 11 | Lesser | 6 | 10 | 14 | 18 |
| 5 | 25-29 | 11 | Minor | 7 | 11 | 15 | 19 |
| 6 | 30-34 | 21 | (Nothing) | 8 | 12 | 16 | 20 |
| 7 | 35-39 | 21 | Major | 9 | 13 | 17 | 21 |
| 8 | 40-45 | 31 | Greater | 10 | 14 | 18 | 22 |
| 9 | 46 | 31 | Superior | 11 | 15 | 19 | 23 |
| 10 | 36 | Potent | 12 | 16 | 20 | 24 |
- Getting a critical bumps your result up 1 tier.
- Getting a special keeps you on the same tier but bumps you up a color.
- Getting a special with a purple frag simply gives you back the frag.
Example:
Using Ingredients that give you a total power of 41 and a blue fragment. A normal result would give you a Greater talisman which in blue is +18. A critical would give you a Superior which in blue is +19. A special would give you a purple Greater which is +22.
Armor Talisman:
|
Tier |
Power | Level | Prefix | White | Green | Blue | Purple |
| 1 | 2-6 | 1 | Feeble | 22 | 52 | 82 | 112 |
| 2 | 9 | 6 | Weak | 30 | 60 | 90 | 120 |
| 3 | 14-19 | 6 | Inferior | 37 | 67 | 97 | 127 |
| 4 | 20-24 | 11 | Lesser | 45 | 75 | 105 | 135 |
| 5 | 25-29 | 11 | Minor | 52 | 82 | 112 | 142 |
| 6 | 30-34 | 21 | (Nothing) | 60 | 90 | 120 | 150 |
| 7 | 35-39 | 21 | Major | 67 | 97 | 127 | 157 |
| 8 | 40-45 | 31 | Greater | 75 | 105 | 135 | 165 |
| 9 | 46 | 31 | Superior | 82 | 112 | 142 | 172 |
| 10 | 36 | Potent | 90 | 120 | 150 | 180 |
Armor talismans are calculated the same way like before but the result is multiplied by 7.5 and rounded down!
Example: Green Major Armor Talisman. From the table above we get that green major talisman is +13. 13×7.5 is 97.5, which you round down to +97.
Resist Talisman:
|
Tier |
Power | Level | Prefix | White | Green | Blue | Purple |
| 1 | 2-6 | 1 | Feeble | 10 | 25 | 40 | 55 |
| 2 | 9 | 6 | Weak | 15 | 30 | 45 | 60 |
| 3 | 14-19 | 6 | Inferior | 20 | 35 | 50 | 65 |
| 4 | 20-24 | 11 | Lesser | 25 | 40 | 55 | 70 |
| 5 | 25-29 | 11 | Minor | 30 | 45 | 60 | 75 |
| 6 | 30-34 | 21 | (Nothing) | 35 | 50 | 65 | 80 |
| 7 | 35-39 | 21 | Major | 40 | 55 | 70 | 85 |
| 8 | 40-45 | 31 | Greater | 45 | 60 | 75 | 90 |
| 9 | 46 | 31 | Superior | 50 | 65 | 80 | 95 |
| 10 | 36 | Potent | 55 | 70 | 85 | 100 |
Resist Talisman gets calculated by, (Power – RareLevel) x 5
RareLevel:
- White 1
- Green 2
- Blue 3
- Purple 4
Examples:
Purple Greater on stat table is 22 and for purple color = 4, so (22 – 4) x 5 = 90.
Blue Lesser on stat table is 14 and for blue color = 3, so (14 – 3) x 5 = 55.
Green Major on stat table is 13 and for green color = 2, so (13 – 2) x 5 = 55.
White Minor on stat table is 7 and for white color = 1, so (7 – 1) x 5 = 30.
Crit Chance Talisman:
|
Tier |
Power | Level | Prefix | White | Green | Blue | Purple | Duration |
| 1 | 2-6 | 1 | Feeble | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | |
| 2 | 9 | 6 | Weak | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | |
| 3 | 14-19 | 6 | Inferior | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | |
| 4 | 20-24 | 11 | Lesser | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | |
| 5 | 25-29 | 11 | Minor | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | |
| 6 | 30-34 | 21 | (Nothing) | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | 6 days |
| 7 | 35-39 | 21 | Major | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | 9 days |
| 8 | 40-45 | 31 | Greater | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | 10 days |
| 9 | 46 | 31 | Superior | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | 13 days |
| 10 | 36 | Potent | 1% | 2% | 3% | 4% | 14 days |
The value of the bonus is based only on the color of the talisman,Green Talisman are always 2%. Blue Talisman are always 3% and Purple Talisman are always 4%.
The Tier determines the durations on the talisman. So far I only have these:
(Nothing) – 6d
Major – 9d
Greater – 10d
Superior – 13d
Potent – 14d
Power Talisman:
|
Tier |
Power | Level | Prefix | White | Green | Blue | Purple |
| 1 | 2-6 | 1 | Feeble | 5 | 11 | 17 | 23 |
| 2 | 9 | 6 | Weak | 6 | 12 | 18 | 24 |
| 3 | 14-19 | 6 | Inferior | 8 | 14 | 20 | 26 |
| 4 | 20-24 | 11 | Lesser | 9 | 15 | 21 | 27 |
| 5 | 25-29 | 11 | Minor | 11 | 17 | 23 | 29 |
| 6 | 30-34 | 21 | (Nothing) | 12 | 18 | 24 | 30 |
| 7 | 35-39 | 21 | Major | 14 | 20 | 26 | 32 |
| 8 | 40-45 | 31 | Greater | 15 | 21 | 27 | 33 |
| 9 | 46 | 31 | Superior | 17 | 23 | 29 | 35 |
| 10 | 36 | Potent | 18 | 24 | 30 | 36 |
It appears that for a given tier the power is 1.5x what the stat would have been, rounded up. Further testing is needed.
Example: A blue greater melee power talisman will be +27 (18×1.5). A blue superior will be +29 (19×1.5= 28.5, round up to 29)

Patch 1.3 and apothecary
June 18th, 2009
So what does this patch brings for the apothecary crafting skill?
All liniments have been nerved by reducing there duration to 30 minutes instead of 1 hour. But the Majestic Goldweed have gotten a +1 multiplier bonus now. Which means:
Crafting liniments with 3 Goldweeds will result in 2 liniments
Crafting Armor Potions with 2 Goldweeds + 1 Duration (Seed …) will result in 2 potions
So the change of the Goldweed makes liniments as easy to get as before the patch but also makes you getting other potions much more easy. Since every potion who needed +2 stabilizers will now have +1 potion (beside those potions where you already added a multiplier ofc..).
Really cool hu?
Game Update 1.3
June 16th, 2009
Land of the Dead
The war moves into exotic lands! With the introduction of the amazing new Land of the Dead high-level RvR dungeon, the Tomb Kings join the Age of Reckoning. Challenging new encounters, new action-oriented gameplay, and the chance to invade enemy player instances, are all waiting in the desert sands. Unearth fabulous new treasure, including a new armor set for every career! Check out the Land of the Dead FAQ, Land of the Dead Grab Bag, and Game Update 1.3 Grab Bag for more details about this epic live expansion!
Ward system
The Ward system has been revamped to give players the power to take on the toughest enemies in the game without the requirement of wearing specific armor pieces for their wards. This system replaces the previous Ward system, and enhances the Old World Armory section of the Tome of Knowledge.
PQ loot roll
Now you can share the wealth with your friends and realm-mates! Opt out of loot rolls in Public Quests (including those in Keeps and Fortresses) to ensure that everyone gets their share of the treasure. After all, the better your realm is equipped, the better you’ll fare in the contest to secure control of the Land of the Dead!
RvR Improvements
As all eyes turn to the blazing desert lands in the south, the realms draw up their plans to take advantage of the diversion and claim victory on the field of battle. Collect Ordnance to purchase new enhanced siege engines, secure your Keep’s inner door with the new "Deadbolt" upgrade, and experience numerous improvements to many of the game’s Scenarios.
Instance lockout timer
To ensure that you and your allies can wage battle against the undead legions of the Tomb Kings (or any of the game’s other challenging instanced bosses!), we have made several player-friendly changes to the instance lockout timer system. Now, players both with and without lockout timers can join forces to crush the enemy and reap the rewards of conquest. Also, players logging out in most instances will be able to log back into the instance at the spot they left if they return within five minutes. This does not affects scenarios or instances where both realms are participating such as the invaded state of instances in the Land of the Dead.
Action Bar
Take control like never before with improved Action Bar functionality. Show up to five action bars on the screen, and customize the orientation and number of buttons on each bar individually.
Bag
We have expanded player inventory to ensure that you have room for all of the new treasures you find in the Land of the Dead. Players will be able to obtain additional inventory space for alternative currency and crafting, freeing up their existing inventory for more loot!
