August 28th, 2009
Open beta client now available for download! Following our recent announcement regarding the commencement of Aion’s open beta, we have taken steps to ensure a smooth setup and preparation process for all participants. While our Launcher will incrementally update your client, the new and patched Aion open beta client has been distributed to a select few partners around the web to prepare for our open beta test. To get your hands on it, you may visit FilePlanet or download it from GamersHell (available later this week).
We have also added a new option that the Aion community has long anticipated: downloading the full open beta client via our BitTorrent tracker (md5 checksum). We have even arranged for a torrent patch for those of you who already have the closed beta client installed but want to get prepared for open beta!
As added extra spice, FilePlanet will–in addition to distributing the client–be giving away a load of open beta keys starting on Tuesday, September 1, 2009. Get on the starting line if you do not have an eligible Aion account already! Eligible accounts include any previous closed beta participants and those who have preordered or prepurchased Aion.
Remember to update your Aion game password if your Aion account was created prior to July 29, 2009.

A Fenrir turns into a Snow Fenrir, and Striders may be exchanged for a Red Star Strider, Red Dusk Strider or Red Wind Strider.
The Great Snow Wolf, Snow Fenrir and Red Striders possess unique skills that ordinary pets do not – the Great Snow Wolf can already be mounted at level 55. If a player looses access to a Clan Hall the obtained pets cannot be used, but they can be exchanged again for the previous pets through the Pet Trader Mickey NPC in the Towns of Aden and Rune Township.

Containing the Attribute power
August 18th, 2009
1) This one-time quest which can be picked up at level 76 starts with Trader Weber at the Magic Shop in Rune. Attribute Master Yang is a regular customer in the Magic Shop, but lately he didn’t stop by any more. This has Weber quite worried that something might have happened to the old man. Weber says that you, being a highly skilled warrior, should go and help Yang. Find Yang and talk to him.
2) Attribute Master Yang is standing somewhat hidden in the northern part of the Rune Commercial District. When you talk to him, he will tell you that during an experiment on wind spirits, the so-called "Sprites", the magical power got out of control and the Sprites fled. Agree to catch the escaped Sprites of Air.
3) To catch the Reckless Sprites of Air, Yang will hand you a mysterious sword. On this sword he has bestowed an Earth Attribute of 10 which is helpful for overcoming the Wind Attribute of the Sprites.
Your task is to collect 6 Wind Pieces from the Reckless Sprites whom you will find some distance north of Rune Township. To acquire the quest item you must hit the Sprites with Yang’s sword before they die. But at level 76 you might already have a much better S-Grade weapon. You can use this first, then for the last few hits change to the sword you were given. Yang’s sword is a shadow item with a duration of 10 minutes. You must collect 6 quest items within those 10 minutes. If you should not succeed in doing this, don’t despair. Simply return to Yang, get a new sword and try again.
4) Back in Rune, when you give Attribute Master Yang the Wind Pieces, he apologizes and asks you to go once more. It’s the same procedure again – head out of town, direction north, and collect 6 Wind Pieces from the Reckless Sprites.
5) When you return again, Yang will finally give you your reward: 202,160 exp, 20,375 SP and 2 Crude Attribute Stones. The most important thing however are the Rough Ores, a kind of non-tradeable Attribute Stone. Yang will ask you what kind you want, and when you click on the link for Holy, Dark etc., you will get 2 of those Attribute Items.
